The new joint venture company, which has received an Internet Access Services Provider (IASP) license from the Telecommunication Authority of Singapore, plans to offer IP-enabled and e-commerce solutions including Intranet/Extranet network management services as well as business portal services in Singapore.
Cable & Wireless Asia is a newly-formed company with Cable & Wireless plc and Cable & Wireless HKT (C&W HKT) each holding a fifty percent stake. The joint venture company is its first venture.

Mr. Grieve believes that Creative's strong presence in Singapore will bring about significant visibility and strategic benefits to this joint venture, enhancing the Cable & Wireless Group's brand name and further extending C&W HKT's role as a leading carrier.

Cable & Wireless Network Services (Singapore) Pte Ltd. will start operations early next year.
