SINGAPORE - April 30, 2008 - Creative Technology Ltd., a worldwide leader in digital entertainment products, announced that it is the official partner in providing sound cards, sound processors and headsets for the Championship Gaming Series™ 2008 Pan-Asia Final which opens today at the state-of-the-art Wuhan Optical Valley Electronic Sports Stadium in the city of Wuhan, People's Republic of China. Championship Gaming Series (CGS) is the only worldwide professional gaming league. As a global strategic partner of CGS, Creative's Sound Blaster® sound cards and audio processors will be used exclusively by the competing teams in CGS competitions around the world.
From 30 April to 3 May 2008, six CGS teams will compete at the league's Pan-Asia competition, which is expected to attract over 125,000 visitors. The competing teams are Dubai Mirage, Kuala Lumpur Taufan, Seoul Jinhwa, Singapore Sword, Sydney Underground and Wuhan Dragon. The top two finishers will receive all-expenses paid trips to Los Angeles to battle for the title of CGS Pan-Asia Champion. Both teams will also compete against the world's best teams at the CGS World Final in July 2008 for a share of the US$1 million prize purse and the title of CGS World Champion.
